As you can see, for a mere twenty with a nickel back, you get plenty of stories about this cute little green alien. You don't just get 'cute' stories, but you get dramatic and action packed stories too. Anything and everything can happen between Decoy and Officer Bobby Luck. You also get some GREAT humor too! For example Decoy took on the name Decoy from Bobby, because he thought Decoy meant Ambassador of Good Will and learned that Decoy means something else. Decoy's real name can't be pronounced and if we attempted to pronounce Decoy's real name, it would make our head explode literally. Decoy is the good green Meta alien and he is haunted by the Red Meta menace, these are really bad red aliens. A green alien going down the wrong path, could become a red alien. What is cool about Decoy is he can morph into anything he wants to morph into and assists Officer Bobby Luck by morphing into various things or creatures that will assist him in his crime fighting. Like when he assists Eleanor Chaucer, by morphing into a green dragon, but we'll talk about that later. Decoy had some problems in the beginning, he hates the red Meta aliens so bad, whenever he saw red, he freaked out, he only accepted green things, like a football team that wears green jerseys, or how he became fond of St. Patrick's Day and made every day on his calendar St. Patrick's Day. Decoy and Bobby live in Dolphin City and they have a lot of things to protect. There is a story about Eleanor Chaucer a wytch (that is how it's spelled for the story - the 'y' takes precedence) and Eleanor is being water tortured by the villagers for being a wytch. Decoy morphs into a water monster and saves Eleanor. In this story there is a very cool black knight on a black steed and Eleanor with the help of Decoy becomes a green knight and defeats the black knight. There is another story with superb drama, dealing with hostages, bad guys and hostage negotiators and you know the green alien and Bobby are smack dab in the middle of this on-the-edge of your seat drama crisis! (This story is better than Denzel Washington's recent movie "Inside Man"). You will learn the cleverness of our little green alien, that uses 'magic bullets' or should I say morphed green bullets to end this crisis! Then in another story we have a naked man running around with a gun, thinking he is invisible and yells out many times...'nobody sees me, nobody cares', of course he is not really invisible and somehow our green alien with the help of Bobby settle this insane matter with extreme delicacy! (When I first saw the title of this story, I actually thought Decoy met up with John Griffin, the original Invisible Man, but this was a major twist, that I did not expect!) There are a ton of stories in this book and it would take 3 pages to talk about each and every story. I am only giving you a sample of what this book contains. You will not be disappointed! Decoy: Menagerie Part 2 has the energy of Star Wars and the inventiveness of JRR Tolkien's The Hobbit! Yes, it crackles with energy and invention! Decoy: Menagerie will entertain, edify, and keep readers rapt. Huddleston is the creative master and has a brilliant imagination! I had to put down my Warhammer Gotrek & Felix - The First Omnibus to read Decoy: Menagerie! I can't say enough of this anthology! www.jazmaonline.com |
